GMAT (Focus Edition) is a globally recognized entrance exam conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) for admission into MBA and other postgraduate business programs. It is accepted by thousands of business schools worldwide and designed to assess analytical, quantitative, verbal, and data interpretation skills. GMAT registration is open year-round, allowing candidates to choose these dates based on availability, either at designated test centers or through the online remote-proctored format. From February 2026 onward, only the Focus Edition is offered, as the older version of the GMAT has been discontinued.

Eligibility for the exam requires candidates to be at least 18 years old; those between 13 and 17 may apply with parental consent. There are no specific education prerequisites, but the test is generally taken by graduates aiming for advanced business studies. Candidates can attempt the exam up to five times in a rolling 12-month period, with a lifetime limit of eight attempts. The registration fee is around USD 275, with additional charges applicable for rescheduling or cancellation.
